Watch our Executive Summary video showing all the volunteer projects we completed this year! The CORE Trail crew logged over 2,000 volunteer hours and thanks to our sponsors and everyone who helped this year to #keeptrailsopen!

Holy Cross Winch Anchor Project
Watch as we run the Holy Cross Trail and place 3 new winch anchors along the way. The trail has changed a lot over the last 15 years, and we have been working with the Eagle-Holy Cross District to help improve the overall management of the Trail. Last year we did a site visit with FS Staff to determine the best locations for new anchors and we finally had a chance this year (2023) to install them.
Moab Trails Closed.
We need your help to fight the BLM Moab trail closures. The recent BLM decision closed over 300 miles of trails near Labyrinth Canyon and Gemini Bridges. Watch the video for the details, and follow the links below for more information.

Camper Crunch - 2023
Watch the CORE Trail Crew crunch an abandoned camper on public land with a mini-excavator! The Crew cleaned the entire area, and you would never know it was there. Watch the video for the carnage! Keep our trails open and our public land pristine!
Tomichi Pass Trail Work
Tomichi Pass needed some work to keep the trail open. The CORE Trail Crew was up to the task and hand-dug the trail wider and rebuilt the outside edge of the slope. Follow the project to what 200 volunteer hours can do to #keeptrailsopen
Hoffman Park Field Trip
NFSR 230 in the Salida District goes up the Middle Fork of the South Arkansas Drainage. Two side trails were almost closed, and were slated for closure in the Draft Decision of the PSI Travel Managment Process. We were able to save Hoffman Park (NFSR 230.C) and Cemetary (NFSR 230.B) from closure. Watch the video to see how and why there were converted to Full-Size Motorized Trails and kept open to the public.
